Asthma (Eosinophilic & Allergic)
At Flourish, we provide infusions for eosinophilic and allergic asthma.
Eosinophilic asthma (E-asthma) is a rare and difficult to control sub-type of asthma that results when the body produces too many eosinophils, a type of white blood cell. When this overproduction of eosinophils occur, it can trigger an autoimmune response that may cause inflammation and obstruction of the airway.
E-Asthma differs from allergic asthma, as it can occur in patients that do not have a tendency towards allergies.
Allergic asthma is the most common type of asthma and occurs only when a patient has allergies that trigger asthma. Asthma attacks triggered by allergic asthma will also usually be accompanied by other allergy symptoms such as sneezing, itchy eyes, and a runny nose.
However, both of these sub-types of asthma make it difficult for people to breathe, with 1 out of 13 people suffering from Asthma as a chronic illness.
